Location
The photo was taken on a rocky shore at a local beach called Innes Park, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.Time
The photo was taken between the period of 3-4 on a cloudy afternoon.Lighting
I love to shoot in the afternoon as sunlight is not as harsh.Equipment
A malfrotto tripod was setup with a d7000. Lens used was 50m f1.4 and triggered with a remote.Inspiration
I have always loved the ocean and was fascinated with the ideas of a self portrait that represents a wedding to the sea.Editing
I enjoy editing in lightroom as there are a variety of free presets available online. It was a combination of a a medium HDR preset and a Sin city preset. I lifted the saturation so some colour seeped through. In my camera bag
I do not carry much equipment as I believe beautiful pictures are created from simple ideas and equipment. My bag contains a d7000 with a 50mm f 1.4 lens and a sb 600 flash.Feedback
Firstly start with an idea? Something that represents you so you put more heart into the project. Think of three simple props that are essential to your idea. You background is essential. The best time to shoot is in the afternoon as the sunlight softens. The most time consuming part is post processing and will require photoshop or lightroom.
