This image is really amazing because as time goes by, this amazing location is stripped away by mother nature. There use to be an entire shoreline of tree images here but now only three trees stand.

Location
This was take. Off the coast of South Carolina near Charleston.Time
Sunrise in August.Lighting
In order to get out to this amazing location to shoot you have to be out there at 4:40am but you have to start out by boat at 4:00. So your morning starts at 3:00am to be on board to grab this shot. I have shot this location for years and I have it down to a fine science.Equipment
Used my RRS tripod, Canon Mark lll and a 17-40. I am probably shooting this at ISO 200 as wide as I can go.Inspiration
My love for the South Carolina shore line, the thrill of standing on an uninhibited nature preserve that is the home of many large gators and other wildlife. The sound of the island as it wakes up at sunrise. Waves gently crashing, birds, frogs singing. Very scary yet peaceful. Hiking out you sometimes Es can't tell the difference between a log or a gator in the dark. I love it!Editing
I uploaded in Lightroom and finished in Photoshop w decreased highlights to make my sunrise pop.In my camera bag
Bug spray! Face net! Plenty of lens clothes, polarizer and Hoya ND.Feedback
Be willing to have you bag ready the night before. Hustling out the door at 3:00am it's easy to leave stuff behind. Do not forget the bug spray! Coat yourself before you get dressed then after you are dressed. They are huge and aggressive.
