Location
It was a summer at a water park in Laguna, Philippines. where I took this photo. Everybody was having a good time throwing water on a zip liner above them.Time
This was an hour before the sunset, just before the park was about to close. This was a timely shot since few minutes after, the secutiry forbid the crowd from doing this to protect the zip liner from getting wet.Lighting
I have to go around them which was far from the crowd all the way to the end of the pool to get this back lighting.Equipment
I shot this with my Leica Dlux 6.Inspiration
I really love the action shot of the crowd, the emotion it shows, the excitement.Editing
I did made this photo more saturated and warm. Contrast boost to have this silhouette effect defining more of the water splashes. In my camera bag
More often just a camera and one lens on an ordinary day walk. If Im traveling out of town for a photo, I take with me wide and zoom lenses, a tripod for long exposure shots and some filters.Feedback
Capturing actions shots is really challenging because you don't have any control of the crowd. Find the right spot, compose your shot well and do a burst shot and hope for a luck that you would have a perfectly timed photo, frozen in time.
