Location

This photo was taken in my Orlando studio against a newly painted drywall.

Time

This was photographed early evening

Lighting

Olga was photographed with one single light, a fresnel lensed hot light by Ari. I handheld the camera at 1/60th and 4.5 f stop

Equipment

Nikon F5 and 55 1.2 Nikkor lens and handheld so I could compose on the fly. I rarely crop any image I shoot since I load the frame at capture. Captured on 400 Tri-X, metered at 800 asa(Minolta Flashmeter III) and pushed one stop in processing.

Inspiration

Women's natural body has almost been lost in our new "Instagram Culture". This is the kind of beautiful torso most of us, men and women, prefer.

In my camera bag

I tend to pack for the job I am doing. I enjoy packing light however I make sure I've covered my ass. I have recently changed my camera to Sony a7III's, 24, 55, 70, 85 1.4, and 70-200 2.8 I generally have several sizes of reflectors as well Profoto Pro-7B packs and Pro-7 heads

Feedback

Have your model stand right up against the white background back shoulder touching the wall. Open head(no diffusion) a little left of center and at about 7 feet high slightly angled down aiming center at right breast. The trick is to have your shutter speed slow enough for ambient light to bounce off of the background to slightly fill the rest of the body. Also don't use any reflector!
