Location
This photo was taken in my home studio. This is photo of my youngest daughter.Time
The photo was taken in the early afternoon before we would walk down to get my oldest daughter off the school bus.Lighting
My lighting set up was three continuous lights from cowboy studio.Equipment
This was shot with my Nikon D3200, 35mm lens at F 1.8, ISO 200Inspiration
My daughter loves to put on her fairy wings and run around the house. I was very new to off camera lighting but I wanted her to model for me so I could practice the new lighting system. This picture was one of the last I took that day. Since I was just practicing I wasn't trying to get her to smile. Inwa just waiting for a real expression and moment to come across her beautiful face. When I captured this picture I knew it was the one I wanted to have printed. But it wasn't finished. I didn't like the white background.Editing
Once I got the picture into photoshop I just started playing around to see what I liked. I used another picture I had taken outside of the moon up in the morning and I added another layer of some feather clouds that I had taken. I blended the layers until I was happy with the outcome. In my camera bag
In my bag now I carry my Nikon D610 and my favorite lens is still the 35mm. I rarely take it off my camera. I also carry my Sony a6000 on me all the time.Feedback
Just keep trying. Never ever give up. Sometimes you will make things and they will just seem to magically come together and other times you will struggle for months and put an idea on the back burner because it is not working. But never doubt yourself. Keep pushing forward and keep learning.
