I absolutely love this photo ! I am such a fan of sunsets and sunrises and trees are icing on the cake in these types of pictures .. yours is marvelous !

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Larimer County, just outside of Loveland, Colorado. The tree is in an open field that separates a city sub-division from the farming & ranching on the west side of town.

Time

Taken around 6:00 AM on a cold winter morning.

Lighting

This photo is all natural lighting.

Equipment

The camera used was a Nikon Coolpix S9700 which is a simple "pocket camera" as I call it.

Inspiration

I wanted to capture a good sunrise. I took several shots of the horizon and the tree shape captured my attention. So I got a bit closer and this became the best shot of several taken.

Editing

There were no adjustments made to the photo. I was simply in the right place at the right time to capture the brilliance of the early morning sunrise.

In my camera bag

As photography is only a hobby for me, I only use my Nikon at this point.

Feedback

Several visits to that perfect location may be necessary and patience is a key factor. As it takes only seconds for the sun to change positions. Also using different adjustments for variation will help in capturing the perfect shot.
