Location
This photo was taken on a roadside, next to a pond in Central/Western MATime
I believed I took this photo in the misd morning, as I was out looking for wildlife and the beauty of nature.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting, If I remember , it was a nice day, the sun was out, mixed with a few clouds, not overly bright.Equipment
Wow... this was taken with my first DSLR, a Canon T1i, I can't remember the lens, sitting in my truck riding around, and there it was, I snapped the photo. This was in 2014 I believe when I took this photo.Inspiration
I went out for a ride by some local ponds and swamps, hoping to get some bird, turtle or other wildlife shots. Driving down this dirt road, there were orange day lillies on both sides of the road, and the swallowtails were out fluttering about, just had to get their pics.Editing
I don't really remember, I may have brightened up the colors a bit.... I really don't remember as this was in 2014.In my camera bag
Since this photo was taken, I have purchased a couple new cameras, currently I am using a Canon 80D, and I use either a sigma 24-70 2.8 or a sigma 150-500, a 50mm, a flash, SD cards extra batteries for the flash, lens cloth/wipes. I have a tri-pod, but honestly, I hardly ever use it, unless maybe some night photography, otherwise, everything is hand held.Feedback
Be patient, I waited awhile for this butterfly to come, it would come and leave. Just play around with your camera till you are comfortable with a pic you have taken, everyone has their own style of photography, there is a lot of beauty out there, just go out and start shooting,
