2 days in a row The New River flowed out of it's banks, taking command of acres of pasture land and flowing over many country road low water bridges. It was still raining this afternoon, the third day, when in just minutes the temperature dropped and it was pouring snow. 6 inches of wet, heavy snow fell in approx. 20 minutes.(3:00pm) By 5:30pm, there was a foot of snow on the ground and the number of vehicle accidents from minor to serious was staggering.
