That's cool! That scene plays itself out just beyond my fence everyday. I've been trying to get a shot like this! I know you were patiently waiting for this one!

Thanks! The best part is that two male Red-winged Blackbirds were into the action. This one played out on the third day of stalking this hawk (her territory happens to be on my way home). Seeing the little guy looking like a missle was just the funniest. Oh, and yes, he did crash into the hawk, legs extended and wings flapping! Poor thing!
