We spotted this little -- in fact, giant -- fella as it was sitting on the trunk of a cedar. All i had on the camera was my 35mm-equivalent lens, so i had to get a bit closer to take this shot.
The approaching camera lens did wake him up and put him on red alert; that's the pose you see right there. His belligerent stance reminded me of the Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail, but we made sure that no life forms were harmed during the photo shoot or afterwards.
