I know a lot of people do not like the pyramid over the entrance but these fountains and the flow of the water help add a modicum of tranquility.
I don't think i've ever seen the museum quiet per se, thankfully I've always been satisfied with seeing the outside and enjoying the walk around and Les Tuileries nearby.
