Movement in water can be violent, awe-inspiring and even hypnotic, but completely flat, clear water can be the exact opposite: Tranquil, peaceful and mesmerising. This photo was taken at the edge of a lake near Charvil, Berkshire, on a surprisingly windy day. The small cove created sheltered the water and left it perfectly still, reflecting the sky and stark trees on it's surface. Without the indication of the bank in the corners, it is difficult to assert that this isn't just a photo of the sky!
