Playing with light and shadows.
Shot with highspeed sync strobe from about 15’ away
off camera through a simple placemat used as a GOBO
just out of frame left of the model to paint a shadow
pattern across the model’s face to accentuate
the facial topography.
Converted to B&W in post.
Shot with a Canon 5D Mark IV in garage ambient light

This is a complex experimental lighting shot. I liked the results a lot, but it doesn’t seem to be resonating with other’s which makes me think it’s a good opportunity to get some good constructive community criticism. As the artist, you get too close to your work to see it fairly. Anyone have any constructive critique they might kindly provide?
