Pink conch shell on Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. The queen conch is a large marine mollusc, formerly abundant in the Caribbean region and it can live up to 30 years... Overfishing devastated many of the Bahamian conch communities, and it is making reproduction so difficult, that this sea slug could be extinct within 10 years! Picture taken at the pink sand beach at sunrise.

Beautiful. I spent 3 weeks in Eleuthera surfing in 1978. Total trip cost $265. Oh how things have changed. I doubt that I would recognize a thing now.
