Money is just only one way of exchanging trust. Without money we would be restricted to barter the production of our labour one way or another, so it is true that money and trust are intimately connected. Money facilitates the exchange and thus it facilitates trust and cooperation. Indeed, the word credit derives from the Latin word credere, which means to trust. So when we play games with big money, in a game that can trigger for example hyper-inflation or hyper-indebtedness, or the opposite, deflation and credit crunch, we should realize that we are in some extent playing games with social bonding, with trust, with the faith of people. Those who are responsible of organizing any economy or any business should be oriented first, as an initial step, to actions trust-generating, instead of to actions money-generating.
