Twilight at Glendalough. The remains of an early medieval monastic settlement are in the background. I lingered at Wicklow Mountains Nat'l Park longer than I should have but loved it. I definitely could have wandered around for longer than I did. Making my way through the trees as darkness fell held a special kind of softly wild peace and energy. By the time I took this on my way out, the wind was kicking up quite a bit and a light sprinkling of rain was dusting the area. The long exposure provided the perfect excuse to spend some tranquil moments watching the mist roll in and the water flow by.
