I had been thinking of taking this shot for a while and took my camera to a game one day. As soon as we were off the pitch I asked my friend if he would be willing to hold onto the ball for a minute while I grabbed a quick picture. I used the flash to get the front lighting and then cut out the background in Photoshop.
