Singapore is a small island and has only gained independence for 50 years. But yet in this short number years, the country has flourished and very much self-sustainable (up to a certain extent of course).

Lower Pierce is one of the many Reservoirs in Singapore and it is able to contain and provide several months to a year of water supply for Singapore (i.e. after treatment) should their be a worldwide crisis.
