I had driven 23 hours straight through from Redmond, Oregon to Estes Park, Colorado. Exhausted, I checked into my room and laid my head to down. The rain started to fall and lull me into a much needed rest, but the herd of elk outside seemed to have other plans for me. They began to call to me, luring me out of the bed that I wanted so badly and outside to capture their photo.
