A well deserved spot of RnR on the Perhentian Islands. Some of the best beaches and sea food in Malaysia. We took a flight from Kuching direct to Kota Baharu near the Thai border, before a bus/taxi down the coast to the port of Kuala Besut. From here its a 45 minute speed boat - slamming across the waves - to the Perhentian Islands. We stayed in the Cocohut Beach Chalet, in their new huts on the beach. The best fresh sea food we found was in water colours restaurant, just a 5 minute water taxi ride away. On the last night we got back to the beach just before an epic thunderstorm hit the islands!
