It's tough to stand out in this crowd of 50,000 breeding pairs of king penguins. To my eyes, these beautiful birds all look the same, but somehow every bird can find its mate and its chick in miles of wall to wall penguins. I found one penguin who stood higher than the rest due to geology or biology, and snapped a photograph. This was taken in Fortuna Bay, South Georgia during my most recent trip there.
