On a visit to the seaside town of Whitby in October 2013,we were walking back from the pier when the sun broke through and lit up the harbour on what had been a grey cold miserable day. The bridge had just opened to let the boat through and I could not resist trying to capture the moment, I never actually did anything with the image at the time then I decided to edit it and send it to Welcome to Yorkshire last August where it received the most likes during that month and became their fb cover photo for sept
