What an inspirational photo!

I love the depth conveyed in this photograph. What really makes it great is the main subject isn't lost in the beauty of the scenery behind him. This is a beautiful photo. I will be voting for this one!

For me this is a real hero. Sorry for the rest of finalist photographers: most of their shots are firemen and soldiers and regardless the evident quality of their photos, they are just shots of men simply doing their work (although a very important and meritorious work). Your photo is not such a case. My congrats to you and specially to your friend! We all need this kind of heros. They don't give up, and are very inspirational.
