The weekend I took pictures of Nala was the same one we (Nala's caretaker and I) witnessed a deer that was stuck inside an elementary school property and was trying to jump out over the fence without being too successful.

Outside the fence where we were at, Nala started intimidating the deer and spooked it. The deer on the other side of the fence ran and spooked the kids and hundreds of kids scattered around running for 'dear' life and it was this never ending sequence of dog intimidating deer and deer running and spooking the kids.

Fast forward, and an employee of the school came out and told us the wanted Nala's help to chase the deer out of the school property.
So we followed him and he opened the gate for us.

Without warning or a signal for Nala to go fetch, chase or whatever you tell dogs theses days, Nala started the chase and though was lucky to chase the deer out the gate entrance- slipped on a patchy area of ice with the deer.

What was even crazier was a mom was dropping off her son and the deer and dog as they slipped ran into the poor boy. The mom was mad and it took a while to calm her down and her crying child.

Best shooting weekend so far and I will always regret not being able to capture that moment.
