Avebury, Saturday 25th June, 18:55 PM GMT: The golden fields of rye at the heart of summer make for great captures. But amidst an alternation of low and high pressure weather, more intriguing was the formation and rapid movement of cumulus and stratocumulus clouds draping the sky and emblazoning the ground with shadows. So, I thought I'd record a timelapse of 2500 frames. This is just one of them. Nothing else important happened today.

Thanks, Doug! I have literally had my head in the clouds the last couple of weeks. We have had some interesting low altitude formations (hence the title) that were beffing for a photo.

Thanks Sue! The frames vary quite a lot, as the sun behind me was intermittently obscured by the clouds emblazoning the ground with shadows. You have to see the time-lapse but it is impossible to email to you... it is 1 GByte!

Thanks Marilena! The wind did me a big favour that day. It is amazing to sit back and watch the stratocumulus clouds glide across the sky.
