A young coyote practices his hunting skills in Yosemite Nat'l Park. I laid in the snow and watched this fella for over and hour as he refined his technique of stalking and pouncing on prey. He didn't have much success this day, but I returned to the same area the following week and was able to locate him again (based on his unique markings). I was happy to see his predator instinct more stealthy and accurate as he ended the hunting session with a total of three field voles in his stomach.

You have many good pictures. The trick with mono is knowing when to use it. This pictures does well in mono.

Years ago, I had a coyote come very close to me, allowing to take pics. What an experience. It was in Yosemite.
