Memorial Presbyterian Church 1889

St. Augustine, Fla. Henry Flagler built this church as a memorial for his daughter. Built in the Renaissance Revival style. Designed by the famous Beaux Arts Architectural firm in New York City "Carrere and Hastings", who first
designed for Flagler his famous Ponce de Leon Hotel, just across the way ..now a part of Flagler College's campus. St. Mark's Basilica in Venice was the inspiration for this church. The Ponce de Leon Hotel was Carrere and Hasting's first major project, they went on later to build the New York Public Library
