Thanks Anne! I love my model... he works for me so submissibelly and obediently, he hardly argues with me. He knows who his master is :P

Thanks, Sue! Now that you have mentioned it, my mind drifted back to the X-Files for some strange reason. Who knows, maybe the truth is out there. Maybe our destiny is written in the stars.

Thank you Jen! How are you doing? Is the granddaughter keeping you awake and happy?

Thanks Liz! From all the warm and welcoming critiques above, there is one word missing that you kindly mentioned: stark. It is the bare silhouette of the tree against the starry sky that made this photo. Even wintry landscapes can be occasionally beautiful to image.

Magnificent. The magic in a photograph- wonderful play of light and dark to reveal. The man-within the image, is almost stunned by what is being shown to him. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Lynn! You might have read my comments above, but for the best part of an hour I felt dwarfed by not only the barren giant next to me but the firmament altogether. It was really pitch black at the time of the photo, hence the long exposure of 20 seconds.
