The residents of Ambergris Caye, Belize start the day early. A boat at sunrise could be fishermen, adventure seekers, or simply a water taxi filled with workers headed to another beach or even another caye to earn a paycheck. Most of the roads on the island are dirt and golf carts are the predominant mode of transportation. Going to work by boat is often a faster, more efficient way to beat the traffic.
