The cormorant drying his wings pull our awareness in a strongly furnished landscape. The longer dimensions bring us into the vastness, the light is dramatic. We see all the foreground and then our eyes are free to reach toward the horizon. A very ( dare i say) spirititual image, just like all the great images in the long history of art.
