A while ago my wife and I came home to a bit of a surprise, as I was about to open the back door to let the dog out I noticed what I at first assumed was lots of torn up paper all over the lawn. Upon further inspection I realised it was this beautiful female Sparrowhawk feasting on a Wood Pigeon. A great treat for a photographer, but not so great when you have to clean up feathers & entrails afterwards. Copyright © 2013 Antony J Barbour

I made this using a recursive algorithm called the Droste effect inspired by Mc Escher.
