This image is a composite of several. I first filled an aquarium with water with a piece of black foam core propped up behind it to create a dark background.

With the camera on a tripod, and using a remote shutter, I dropped cream into the water and captured several swirls and drops, choosing one that most looked like something that could fit a face. This looked like a fun hairstyle and the general shape of a bust form to me.

The colorful spots are the result of a prism on glittered paper in direct sunlight.

Last was a profile shot of my face.

With the use of layers, opacity sliders and some blending in Photoshop, I was able to merge these photos together into a single, fun piece.
