We had been waiting some cubs with their mothers very early in the Crater in Tanzania when there was a commotion way ahead, so we took off to investigate. Caught this set of images throughout dust and grass - this female lion took down this female buffalo and was helped in the kill by another female who had taken down the calf and hidden in bush.

I was amazed and we went back 9hrs later, the lions were all around sleeping with one keeping guard and all unseen due to the tall grasses - only the back and ribs were visible, so it's gone quickly. Thanks so very much
