One expects to see little critters, such as ptarmigans, small pika, marmots, and perhaps a mountain goat or two up on Independence Pass, however one does not expect to see a Scot playing the bagpipes! His companion explained to us that they stop at various points along their journey and play for gas money. When we were there the people were few so hearing the sweet music spread out over the beautiful tundra was truly a blessing! He was definitely a STAND OUT!
