My cousin and I were on our way to Vegreville, Alberta, Canada when we saw this from the 28A HWY. We saw the smoke first and I was like "Is something burning over there?" She confirmed that it was smoke from a fire. We are concerned because the province of Alberta has issued a no burning aloud even with permits due to the dry weather. Due to what is now happening to Fort McMurray. So we were watching the smoke and saw it turn black. The next dirt road I found I turned on and sped to the scene. My cousin and I were the 2nd and 3rd Responders on scene and fire crews were not even there yet. The 1st responder was on with 911 already so we started to stop people from coming this way. I kept my car running cause the fire was licking the edges of the road and there were farms and homes on the other side. I was ready to move into action to warn them and start to get them ready to evacuate if they need to. Luckily the wind was on our side at the time and didn't take the fire across the road. There actually was little wind. Due to our dry weather, this car fire (that someone most likely lit on fire) could have spread into a major wildfire and it was close to a community as well.
