Lots of stuff floats down the mighty Columbia past my home, but I was puzzled to look out and see this balloon floating past, an apparent escapee from some party or something. I suspected a buoy when I saw it in the distance upstream, but it's odd shape gives it away. I don't know what the submerged anchor might be. The storm-muddied green/brown river is a nice color companion to the orange balloon, I thought!
