Nice capture of the dog's friendly and intelliget expression. Since he is facing viewer's right, I would prefer to see him framed on viewer's left, looking across the photo, as his gaze tends to bring the viewer to the end of the frame a bit abruptly. A lovely dog and nice contrast between the color and texture details of the dog with the nicely out of focus and limited saturation in the background.
