A Heavy Heart

A shot I took on a cool September afternoon. This photo is very special to me, and to many others. This photo shows Gary, a Boarder at Hillside Stable in Connecticut alongside his beloved horse Tigger. Just a few weeks ago Tigger had to be put down. Here is a quote from one of Hillside's owners and Tigger's Rider...

"It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the loss of one of Hillside Stable 's most loved equines... Tigger. Appaloosa' s are well known for thier beautiful coat patterns, athleticism and versatility. Tigger exemplified all of those qualities and more. Spirited and head strong, it took just the right amount of patience and persistence to get along with Tigger, but when you did he always tried 110% for you. I often said he was one of the smartest horses I've worked with, you never had to show him something more than once. Tigger was truely one of a kind, there will never be another quite like him. I'm sure his brother Lazer is up there waiting for him on the other side of those pearly gates. Run free boys... Until one day when we all meet again. Rest in peace buddy, we all love and miss you like crazy."
