At the back of the German military cemetery in the Praetbos in Vladslo are two kneeling figures on a pedestal. They present 'The grieving parents' by the German artist Käthe Kollwitz and are placed in front of the grave of Musketeer Peter Kollwitz. Peter Kollwitz was the second son of Karl and Käthe Kollwitz. He died at the age of 18 on October 23, 1914.
