Black rhinos, like this one in Zimbabwe, are easily distinguished from their larger white cousins by their pointed, prehensile lips, which they use for browsing vegetation. Square-lipped white rhinos are mostly grazers, like cows, and it is believed that they got their name from their "wide" lips rather than anything to do with the color white.
