I am a private person who prefers not to engage strangers to ask to take thier photo. But I love capturing people in the moment. By taking silhouettes I am able to capture life without compromising the subjects privacy
I have always loved artwork that represents a person without identifying them because it enables the viewer to see whoever they want to see in the picture.
Essentially by not making it a specific subject you make it open for interpretation or even the fantasy of the viewer
An old woman looking out the window can represent all lonely elders or anyone who is lonely and isolated... so it speaks to the human heart and can mean more things to more people
