These oyster-tongs caught my eye when a friend and I went to Wye River landing: a public access boat ramp and docks in Queen Annes County, Maryland. Just had to take a picture to show what oyster tongs look like and to make an artistic picture with them. They were put there by local watermen that still use them to tong for oysters. They scoop oysters up to land them on the boat after working them back and forth to dislodge a mess of oysters and shells to be sorted (Culled) out later. I felt this bridge being of an older time would make a great image as a black and white also, so I edited into this photograph.
