While still on the outside of the industry, I have a continuously growing passion for fashion photography. Because of this, whenever I travel, I try to schedule at least one shoot with a local model and featuring local environments. Last September, I had an opportunity to go to Las Vegas with some friends, so I started digitally scouting out the desert areas around the city for a location. When I found out that Valley of Fire State Park, near Orton, Nevada, had a small slot canyon, I knew what I wanted to shoot. I contacted Model and Dancer Anais Palacios, and started the permit process with Nevada State Parks, and the rest is history.
