surprisingly enough, while walking around way out in the middle of Lake Dumbleyung. There were an array of fallen, dead trees.
between the ruin of at first what i thought maybe trees that had floated out after dying was this tree with roots still intact... Just.
It was an amazing thing to think that trees grew in the middle of the lake before what i would presume eventually died because of lack of water and too high in salt, but this one was the only evidence that they grew here at one time.
I was really happy to think i'm probably the only Photographer to capture the last remains of trees in the middle of this large lake... at least 2-3 kilometers out and with a fading light and pastel colours that defines this rare shot for me.
I love the contrast of the land separating the salt and sky and the dried mud with the remains of this tree still standing.
