Autumn Acer leaf discolouration. Anthocyanin is the mysterious pigment responsible for the many amazing Autumn forest shows. I am forever fascinated by this process and am always looking at photographing it in many ways. I stumbled upon this technique through trial and error, and have used it many times to bring attention to often busy frames.
