On Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, I was lucky to catch this bald eagle before it flew off. I had photographed it from a distance on a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, but as I got closer, it heard me and took off. This was the only close-up - and I think it turned out quite well. :)
