This is the Wedge in Newport, California. It only breaks occasionally, and is one of the toughest waves in the world to stand up surf (i.e. not bodyboard). I drove down in the middle of the night to catch sunrise, and also got this shot of Ryan Hurly on a wave this likes of which I have never seen before.
