San Francisco de Asis Church, Taos, NM
A very magical and mystic place I had been waiting to shoot for the last 15 years. It's a place that you find yourself whispering outside and inside. It is also a place that Ansel Adams and his close friend Georgia O' Keeffe photographed and painted respectively. I have many more shots of the Pueblo Village that it is very close to. A village that has had the Navajo people living there for over the past 150 years. What I found fascinating was being a Catholic Church. The Navajos saw the Virgin Mary as Mother Nature, and the Catholic Church was just fine with that.
