Everything we are looking we do by our eyes, so it is normal to see a dog from an elevated point of view... the problem is that a photo paper or a pc monitor we are seeing in frontal viewing (we don't put on the floor for look at it), an elevated camera position is ok for a landscape, or a portrait of someone stand up that is normal to see from the eight of our eye position. Try to lie in the floor when you wish to make a photo of your dog... you will understand the difference from a bad photo and a well done work with a camera ;) Happy shooting!
