I enjoy most types of aircraft and have collections of miniature bombers along with various concorde memorabilia. This is one of my model bombers from my collection. To photograph these planes, I wanted to do something different rather than just sit them down and take a photo, so I hung them up high with the sky in the background (on different days/times so I could capture the changing colours in the sky). Post-processing used to remove the string that was holding the planes up; also adding some motion blur to give the illusion that the planes were actually flying. The whole project took me a while to complete but I very much enjoyed the work!

It takes alot of work to make and paint a good model. having done that myself I can see all of the work that was done. I assume you airbrushed it. Looks great. I saw the Memphis Bell what a bird.

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment! It is very much appreciated :)
My miniature model collection of war birds were actually purchased already pre-made (made from diecast metal). Apologies if I had mislead you into thinking that I had made and painted them myself! The only post-processing work involved was...to remove the string that the bomber was hanging from; and adding 'motion blur' to give the illusion that the bomber was actually flying!
I would love to build and paint my own models one day...maybe when I have retired and have loads more spare time on my hands!!! haha :D
Lucky you for seeing the Memphis Belle in the flesh!

Very nice work, subject, angle, lighting, etc. The plane and it's history are my favorite. Thanks for sharing. :-)
